The irony of me picking new crafty stuff just as I clean out my old crafty stuff does not escape me.
But yet again I am drawn to manufacturer blogs like a moth to flame.
Here are my personal MUST BUY picks for this term:

| 4. Prima paper clips- I pretty much want all styles available. |
 |
| 5. Studio Calico confetti size shapes veneer. LOVE!! |
 |
| 6. Krylon glitter sprays and this lil 3 oz guy in red, yellow and silver. |
 |
| 7. Wow! Glitter embossing powder 3 packs |
 |
| 8. Jenni Bowlin feather chipboard and mini book clear stamps |
 |
| 9. Webster's Pages "Sweet Notes" overlays by Allison Kreft |

| 10. Anything with diagonal stripes in red or black/white. |
Some of my favorite brands have complete fallen off the design map this season.
Perhaps it's a sign of the times, not a single company seems to be taking any risks right now.
It's all muted colors and motifs from past seasons- lots of cameras, banners, doilies, chevrons and circles.
Where did all the stars go?
And when did speech bubbles become so popular?
I like them but SHEESH! There's only so many I can put on a layout!
Also-
What's with the anchors? Unless you have a yatch or are on a cruise vacation those are random!

I have no idea what's new or up and coming but that punch is fabulous - hope we can get those over here. I think this year is going to be all about experimentation with paint and the various mists and sprays for me :-)

ReplyDeleteLovely choices! I am with you, not seeing a whole lot of paper that I HAVE to have...I don't understand why we are still seeing so much chevron and hexagons...time for something new!

I am love with Dina and Ronda's stencil releases! They are innovative and inspiring - The punch is going to be a big hit, along with SC's confetti. I am loving the new Distress Paints from Ranger...unbelievable how they work after they are dried.... but I will agree...there has not been a paper line that is "different" from what I already have. There is a company overseas called Sodalicious that I have been really watching getting on the radar - their graphic papers and stencils/embellishments are creatively different and evoke inspiration.
