Scrap FX has their first scrap challenge ever up Facebook.
Swing by and check it out: Scrap FX Australia (Facebook)
I joined in my usual way- I barely followed direction and felt my way around the design till I had a page I liked.
This one:
So here are the rules:
- Use the following palette:
- Background should be a neutral color like black or white (HO! I managed to break the rules without even trying!)
- Email entries to scrapfxchallenges@live.com.au by midnight 14th August EST.
Here are some detail shots:
I Love You.com chipboard #2209334. Freaking AWESOME! |
A Flair For Buttons yellow chevron and black arrow chevron. I'm thinking you may want to swing by this shop- there are styles for everyone including Project Life folks, mixed media and ephemera specialists and anyone who loves bright color. |
So perhaps the page should have looked more like this? True Xoxo Girls July Challenge
True Xoxo Girls June Challenge page. The July challenge is easier- you have an hour to make something- easy right? |
And lastly because it's midnight and I'm supposed to go to bed now.
A shot of my Lola- after she ate an ant. (Those are ants she's holding in her cute baby pincers- ants dying as you watch- UGH!)
That's right- I CHOMPED it. |
MuChOS SmOoChEs!

SO in love with your page! The contrast and the graphic quality of it is spot on! And, I love how the photo of it is so big in your blog post! So easy to take in!
ReplyDeleteLove those bold colors and the boldness of the background ppr. Lola VS the ant haha. My Gabby (4 y old) wont go near any creeping thing! I chased her with a rollie pollie and she nearly died. Love your pages.
ReplyDeleteAwesome work...I really wish I could use color like you do! But brights scare me for some reason...you however- do amazing things with them. Beautiful work, my friend!!

LOL! You got me with that Lola pic and caption!! You go Lola :D And then your page...I'm dazzled by it!! Where do I start? The bold background which instead of fighting the "pastels" only accentuates them so happily! The "Michelle" technique of somehow putting down shapes that seem random but are so harmonious together! All happy stuff!!
ReplyDeleteYour little anteater is adorable... so is that page for scrapfx! So sexy I'm pinning it! Love that stripy bkgd & the bright colors!!: )
ReplyDeleteDo you have to include scrapfx products on the page for their challenges?

ReplyDeleteAbsolutely adorable!!!! I love the title on the first page ;)
ReplyDeleteAnother brilliant display! Love it! Busting up over Lola and the ants! Hilarious! My daughter brought me a handful of slugs when she was 4 or 5. I was like "Ew!" And she said, "But, you like slugs! You think they're cute!" I so don't remember saying that! And if I did, it was when they were on the ground, not 20 of them in her hand! Bleck! Lol!
ReplyDeleteI really love that first one - gorgeous! Love all the colors and the design rocks!
ReplyDeleteHey just found your blog and loving all the engery and creativity. I also HATE when you find a perfect backing paper and then don't know what it's called or who it's by! Great layout though - very striking!
ReplyDeletehello Michelle ...oh now its been forever that i was here too you know...i am loving those pages... they sport everything i would work with too! LOVE LOVE LOVE them! and i adore the little ant chomper!!!

I plan on making a heap of stuff and just having a week sale every now and then - i think?
ReplyDeleteLola was eating ants? That is hilarious!
ReplyDeleteYour layout is super cool! I agree, that black/white diagonal striped paper looks amazing! It is the perfect background allowing those vivid colors to pop wonderfully! I saw this amazing layout on pinterest and fell. in. love. You totally rocked this challenge! :)
