Autism Affects 1 in 70 boys. MATERIALS: MLS backdrop paper, Crate Paper Toy Box- everything else |
My nephew Marcus is a beautiful being. Unaware of the complexities of human interaction, he moves through life interested in Star Wars, Lego and Godzilla... and chicken nuggets- can't forget those!
Today I will pause and try to imagine what it must be like for him to live in a world too full of sound, of light and strange rules he doesn't follow not because he chooses but because they are invisible to him- out of access.

I don't know what I like better, the amazing layout or the perfectly written post about your nephew. So well done and extremely touching. This one definitely needs to be framed and put in that beautiful boy's room! :)
ReplyDeleteMy nephew also has autism. I absolutely LOVE this layout!!! You are amazing!!!! You make my day brighter!!
ReplyDeleteThis LO is amazing. Love it!!
ReplyDeletelove your motivation for making a page here. great that you turned the puzzle piece into bunting to incorporate it into your page x
ReplyDeleteThis layout ROCKS!
ReplyDeleteI love how you used jigsaw shapes. I have two sons on the autistic spectrum and the jigsaw piece sums autism up. I have a jigsaw piece charm to remind me how everything is a puzzle to them
ReplyDeleteYou've got style, Girl! I love all of your layouts, but this one especially speaks to me cuz my son has autism and you've really made a perfect page in homage to your nephew. Thank you for the inspiration! I "found" your blog because I am taking Julie's It's Sew Easy class, too. Looking forward to following more of your art!
